About Dr. Yazmine Marimon, LMHC

Dr. Yazmine Marimon is a psychotherapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than fifteen years of experience helping individuals and couples improve their emotional and sexual well-being. She specializes in sexual dysfunctions, sexual intimacy, relationships, couples, trauma, and addiction, offering individual therapy, couples therapy, sex therapy, and workshops in both English and Spanish, available online and in person from her Miami practice. 

Dr. Marimon's treatment is personalized and unique. Based on her years of clinical work with couples, she has developed  Becoming Aligned, an integrative relational and psychotherapeutic approach. The model postulates that psychological healing occurs when a person transfers his invisible linking patterns towards full consciousness, and then rewrites his current relationships through deliberate, congruent, and ethical actions (intentionality) at the moment. Dr. Yazmine Marimon integrates Attachment theory, Humanistic congruence,  Imago Relationship therapy, EFT, CBT, Encountered Center Couples Therapy developed by Hedy and Yumi Scheneifer, Developmental scaffolding (Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development), Somatic and mindfulness practice, Psychodynamic therapy, Gottman therapy, and Intimacy and sexual science (Sternberg, Sensate Focus, Dual Control Model).
